This is a wonderful website to visit! At Storyline Online you can choose from several different stories that will be read aloud to you. Each story is read by a member of the Screen Actors Guild Foundation. When you click on a book it will show an on-line streaming of one their members reading you the book. There are also activities that go along with each book. A few of the books you can choose from right now are Stellaluna, To Be A Drum, and Sebastian’s Roller Skates. Listening to a story online counts towards your at-home reading, too, so check it out and let me know what you think!
Is practicing spelling at home becoming a bore? Spice it up a bit by practicing your words online with Spelling City! To get there, just click on Spelling City under Reading Sites. Once at Spelling City, you will see boxes where you can type in your own spelling words. It starts you out with five boxes. Click on add 5 more so that you so that you have enough for the rest of your words. After you have typed in all of your words, click on play a game. There are 10 different games to choose from so you can choose a couple a different game every night. The games I recommend are: Unscramble, Hang Mouse and Missing Letter. Have fun!
